WE'RE BACK!

Yes, after an absence of several years the Bull City Blood Bowl League (or BCBBL for short) is about to be relaunched. The BCBBL is a table-top Blood Bowl league based in the Triangle region of North Carolina, USA. Established in early 2007, the BCBBL has been running on-and-off for nearly nine years now.
We run the league primarily out of the superb Durham hobby store Atomic Empire. The relaunch of the BCBBL is already underway and the new season is scheduled to start on Friday, January 1, 2016). Unlike most table-top Blood Bowl leagues, the BCBBL is run in an open-format which means anyone can join, at any time (yes, even after the season begins!), and they may play as many or as little games as they like. Once we get settled back into a routine we hope to run an in-league tournament, most likely during the second season. Finally, we are also hoping to run both in-league and free-for-all tournaments later in the year.
If you are interested in playing Blood Bowl in North Carolina, then why not come join us in the Bull City Blood Bowl League? You can contact us either by e-mailing us at bcbbl_commish@yahoo.com or by visiting the Blood Bowl section of the Atomic Empire forums. And if you live outside the Triangle area, don't be afraid to join too. The open-format of our league benefits everyone, including those players who can only arrange to game rarely.

* * *DID YOU KNOW...?

In the Old World, the Bull City Blood Bowl League is merely the most common nickname for the most popular league in the province of Stirland. The league's full name is the His Most Sagacious Freigraf Haupt-Anderssen of Stirland's Imperial Association Blood Bowl League (sponsored by the Blutighammers Smithery).

Most historians of the league are agreed that the nickname came about due to either the stubborn nature of Stirlanders or the large amount of cattle trade that takes place in the province's capital, Wurtbad. However, nearly everyone else thinks it's just a whole lot easier to say!
